Friendships End

Nobody I know affects me so quite as much as you do
Nobody I see touches me quite the same as you
Now you're gone life goes on, it may seem strange
But most of us sing the same old song, maybe with a change of phrase
I tell you! I’ve seen my dreams fly away from me oh so many times
I’ve seen friendships end and the dark descend on oh so many lives.

We live our lives, sing our songs, friendships end and time moves on
Seems no one waits to see the dawn, see the dawn

I’ve seen faces come and faces go, I’ve had my share of friends
I've seen places you wouldn’t go; I’ve seen childhood’s end
There’s a circle of friends on who you depend this helps you to survive
And although there are friendships that never end, some last from nine to five
Hey babe! You took the high road and I the low, I watched you climb those hills
But it don’t really matter which way we go we have our memories still.

We live our lives, sing our songs, friendships end and time moves on
And I can’t wait to see the dawn, see the dawn.
